Job Description

30.5 hours per week, 39 working weeks (term time plus 5 non-student days)

Fixed Term contract

Maltings Academy is graded ‘Outstanding’ and has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike.

Our Learning Support Assistants will support students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in mainstream classes and small groups to ensure that students achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will have:

  • experience working with children

  • excellent literacy and numeracy skills including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent

  • ability to motivate and encourage students

  • excellent communication skills

  • good IT skills

The hours of work are Monday 8.30am-3.30pm and Tuesday to Friday 8.30am-3pm, 39 weeks per year (term time plus non-student days). This position is based at Maltings Academy. However, as we work closely with our sister academy, New Rickstones Academy (also in Witham), all new contracts are to work across both academies.
